Villa Ukuthula is an African-chic style house, situated in the Machangulo Peninsula, Mozambique.
The experience we try to create at Villa Ukuthula is one of complete relaxation, complemented with adventure of the activities.

Guests arrive via a 1.5 hour boat trip from Maputo, alternative charters via fixed wing aircraft or helicopter from
Maputo Airport to a nearby private airstrip can be arranged on request, this is a short trip across the Maputo Bay to Villa Ukuthula.

Our guest interaction varies from group to group, but generally all who leave here depart as friends and family!
Staff are normally around throughout the day to cater to any queries or questions guests may have,
and to make sure they have everything they need.

Sleep in style in our King Suite, or in one of our Twin and Ocean rooms, which all come standard with an en suite bathroom,
and a breathtaking view!

1 x KING SUITE - The largest suit in the Villa, sleeps two on a king size bed, with a 180 degree view of the
Indian Ocean and the dunes surrounding the property.

2 x TWIN ROOMS - Beautiful spacious twin rooms sleeping two guests each (sharing).
Twin beds can be converted into king size beds.

2 x OCEAN ROOMS - Sleeps two on a king size bed, with views of the Indian Ocean and
the dunes surrounding the property. These can also be converted to single beds.

THE VILLA - Book the entire Villa, and have exclusive access to all Villa Ukuthula has to offer:
1 x King Room / 2 x Ocean Rooms / 2 x Twin Rooms with Private Pool, Snooker Room
Spacious living areas, Dining areas, Private Library and study
...all to yourself !

All rates are for full board accommodation, and include the following:
Three meals per day.
Juices with breakfast.
Coffee station available throughout the day.
A beach picnic. (And Snorkeling adventure at Inhaca Marine Reserve).
Vehicle transfers (in Santa Maria) to / from Villa Ukuthula on day of arrival and departure.

Not Included in price:
Boat / Air transfers from Maputo.
Drinks: We do stock basic drinks such as 2M beer and basic soft drinks which can be purchased at the Villa.
Hard-tack / specialized drinks can be purchased ahead of time for an additional cost.
VAT / Transaction fees.

Due to the remote and exclusive location of the Villa, guests arrive via one of three ways:
Self-drive - Guests can opt to drive in using their own 4x4 vehicle, in which case we send a driver and vehicle to meet
them just outside of the Maputo Special Reserve, to drive ahead of them to the Villa and make sure they don’t get lost.
We don’t usually recommend this option as it is the longest and most tiring method of arriving, but some guests love the adventure!

Boat transfer - Guests who arrive via boat transfer usually either drive, or fly in to Maputo. If they fly in, we arrange someone
to meet them at the airport, as well as taxis to transport them to the marina where they board the boat.
(Taxi prices not included). The boat transfer is a private charter speed boat, and the trip usually takes about 1.5 hours across Maputo Bay.
Boat transfer costs also not included – they start from USD 600.00 return and are subject to availability and price changes.

Fixed-wing / helicopter charter - Guests can also arrive via fixed-wing or helicopter charter, to arrive at a private
air-strip in Machangulo. (POR).

The area around the Villa is very remote, there are no tarred roads (or even hard-top dirt roads), road signs, petrol stations or shops.
Because of this, all of the arrangements pertaining to any guest activities must be completed well in advance.
The method of guest arrival must be arranged and finalised at least 7 days prior to guest arrival.

All meals are planned, and all ingredients for those meals (including any special dietary requirements) must be coordinated with suppliers,
transported, and then checked WELL in advance of guest arrival.
Because of the logistical situation, we prefer guests to book well in advance as per our booking policy.

Activities which are available in the area are: (2018 - These are subject to change without prior notice)
- Fishing charters (bill fishing) = USD 650 (10 Hours for 4-5 guests).
- Fishing charters (game fishing)= USD 350 (4 Hours for 4-5 guests) USD 500 (6 Hours for 4-5 guests).
- Maputo Special Reserve day trip = USD 200 (4 guests).
- Inhaca town and biology centre day trip = USD 25 p/p (Minimum 5 guest).
- Seasonal whale watching charter = USD 55 p/p (minimum 6 guests).
- Seasonal sea turtle nesting / hatching walks (Free of charge).
- Drinks, lunch or dinner at local restaurant Bemugi’s.
