Daghata Holiday Resort - Canda, Inhambane, Mozambique Accommodation

Daghata Holiday Lodge also know Paradise Palms Holiday Resort Mozambique is situated roughly 120km North of Xai Xai at Canda and offers self-catering beach homes positioned between the lagoon behind and the beach in front. The houses vary in size and can accommodate between 6 and 14 guests.

Sleep and wake to the sounds of the surf - take long walks on the beach - Kayak on the sea or lagoon - indulge in bird or dolphin watching - and languish under the majestic night skies of the Southern Cross.
Units at Daghata Holiday Lodge are beautifully appointed, built of wood and reed thatch. All the houses have wonderful sea views with the exception of Casa No Lago which faces the lagoon.

Although the size of the houses and configuration may vary, all the houses offer the following:
Fully-equipped kitchen; Gas geyser; Gas fridge/freezer; Ceiling fans; Braai (barbecue) facilities
Please Note: All the units are serviced only on request at an additional cost of 120 Meticals per day (to be paid directly to staff servicing the houses).
No linen is provided, but duvet inners and pillows are supplied.

Southern Cross - Sleeps 8
3 bedrooms (2 x queen size beds and 2 x single beds)
1 loft room (2 x single beds)
2 bathrooms (each with shower, toilet and basin)
PLEASE NOTE: This unit is not recommended for small children due to the high decks.

Cumcusta - Sleeps 10
4 bedrooms (3 x queen size beds and 2 single beds. Each room en-suite with shower, toilet and basin);
1 loft room (2 x single beds)
Brisas de Mar - Sleeps 8
4 bedrooms (each with a king size bed)
3 sleeper couches in loft (single size)
2 bathrooms (each with shower, toilet and basin)

King Fisher - consists of two separate dwellings and offers the following:
Main house with 5 bedrooms (3 double beds) and 4 single beds with each bedroom having an en-suite bathroom.
2 bathrooms with baths and 3 bathrooms with showers.
Kitchen, scullery, dining room, living room and outside covered deck with a swimming pool and walkway to the beach;
2 bedroom dwelling with a bathroom with shower and 4 single beds kitchen and lounge area;
Separate lapa entertainment area of 160 sqm. consisting of an indoor braai, ice machine, fridge, freezer, gas stove and dining room table for 10 guests and sufficient cutlery and crockery for 16 guests. DSTV with limited channels; 4 undercover parking areas; Separate laundry facility;
Generator room with solar power ensuring 24 hours power per day;
All areas between the dwellings, lapa, generator room, laundry are paved


The resort does not have electricity but each house is serviced by its own generator which is operated by staff.
The generators are run only at certain hours -
6.00am to 9.00am.
12.00pm to 2.00pm.
6.00pm to +-9.30pm.

Daghata Holiday Lodge can only be accessed by 4x4 vehicle.
All fires are strictly forbidden!!

Some of the activities available during your stay at Daghata Holidays include the following:

Whale watching from the comfort of your deck (Winter months);
Long, lazy walks on the beach;
Kayak on the lagoon (bring your own kayak);
There is always a sea breeze, resulting in near-perfect conditions for kite flying;
Shell hunting
Snorkelling off the reef for the more adventurous;
Relaxing or swimming at the beach (The nearest "swim-friendly" beach is a 5-minute drive);
Watch magnificent sunsets
Canda is reasonably isolated, and once there, the nearest shops providing beer, fresh produce and a few essentials can be bought at Canda Town which is approximately 20 minute drive.

The nearest deep sea fishing and dive charters are at Zavora (2 hour's drive).

The closest restaurant is approximately 40 minutes (18km) from Daghata Holidays. They will serve you a good meal, providing you book a day in advance. They have a fresh water splash pool as well as a beach bar where you can enjoy the meals and drinks.

Freshly baked Mozambican bread can be bought at the neighboring resort approximately 5 minutes from Daghata Holidays. Please ensure that orders are placed a day in advance.
