Casa Chibububo Lodge

Casa Chibububo Lodge is A beautiful resort situated on the white sandy beaches of Vilanculos in Mozambique.
Approximately 700 km north of Maputo and is also known as the gateway to the Romantic Islands of Bazaruto Archipelago.
It is a busy town with friendly people. The shops satisfy all the basic food and refreshments needs.
Brand new hospital and good skilled medical doctors support the town health care. Fuel stations and banks with ATM available.

Situated on the white sandy beach of Vilanculos, Casa Chibububo Lodge offers accommodation in elevated wooden houses,
just a few steps away from the beach.

9 Wooden Houses - The sea view chalets feature 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Bedroom 1 - Double en-suite.
Bedroom 2 - 2 Single beds.
Bedroom 3 - 2 Single beds.
Bedroom 2 and 3 share one bathroom.
Only the 2 front bedrooms have sea view – the third bedroom has no sea view.
Kitchen, dining room and lounge area with 2 more single beds.
Fully equipped for self-catering with an ample deck to enjoy the view and catch the evening breeze.

The tops of the local “jeka” thatched roofs leave a space for air circulation, making a cool and pleasant dwelling.
Wide doors open onto an ample verandah to watch the sun set and catch the evening breeze.

22 Sleeper wooden house is a double storey house with garden view.
Please note that this house does not have a sea view, although it is also situated about 30m from the water’s edge.
(It is just behind the first row of houses.)
The top floor consists of 8 twin bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (2 en-suite and 2 shared) and a living area with tea and coffee making facilities.
There are no stairs inside the house, so you have to exit the top floor, come down the front steps and enter the
bottom floor to access the kitchen/dining area.
The ground floor consists of 3 twin bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 en-suite and 2 shared) fully equipped self-catering kitchen
(with fridge, chest freezer, stove, kettle and microwave) and dining room area.
All rooms have a door opening onto the balcony / garden area at the bottom.
Some of the beds are pushed together with a double mosquito net for couples.

All houses are equipped with linen, bath towels and mosquito nets.
All bathrooms – showers only.
Housekeeping included and laundry service available at an extra charge.

At Casa Chibububo Lodge they have facilities designed with your comfort and pleasure in mind.
They have a large dinning area, with bar and half under deck sparkling swimming pool for those hot Mozambique days!
Braai facilities in the tropical garden and underdeck parking with security!

Please note that we do not have a “traditional” beach in front of the lodge – as you will see on the pictures.
It is more like a giant lagoon, as the water pulls back for about 300m at low tide and comes up to 20m from the houses at high tide.
You can swim in front of the lodge or you can easily walk along the beach (especially during low tide) to other lodges
and restaurants on the beach front.
About 500 meters up the coastline you will find more “traditional” sandy beaches with palm trees – although no big waves
as the water is more like a lagoon.

Scuba diving, horse and camel riding as well as massages on the deck can be book at the lodge.
