MONTEGO's CAMP
Montego is a new camping site 3km upcoast from Xai-Xai Beach (Praia do Xai-Xai). There’s a tar road right up to the coastline and a 3km sand road which leads to the camp site and can be reached by a 2wd vehicle.

Secure camping with clean ablutions, clean water (which is from a dune borehole), shaded stands and a ‘donkey’ for hot water. There is generated electricity from 06h00 till 23h00. Montego is a rough camp site, so that you can experience Mozambique at its best. Please provide your own luxuries to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Montego Pirate Camp has esstablish five 2/beds Self-Cathering Barraca’s (Beach Huts).

The Barraca’s contain the following:

• 2 x ¾ Beds with bed linen ( 2 x pillows / pillowcases, 2 x fitted sheets and 2 x duvet inners & covers)
• 2 x Mozzie Nets.
• Small Table and Chairs.
• Electricity on site. (Plug Points compatible with SA Stds)
• Electirical Appliances with elements not permitted eg. Ketles, toaster, hair dryer due to generator electricity.

Fresh bed linen will be provided. Please note that you must supply your own crockery, cutlery, dishcloths, towels (bath, eg.), toiletries including toilet paper. Please note that we don’t supply any cleaning material for crockery, cutlery and washing.
A 3m x 3m campsite for different uses (camping/kitchenette/relaxing) is provided opposide the Barraca.

A local backer might surprise you daily with POW’s, croissants and freshly baked Portuguese bread or you can visit the bakery in the town. Locals past the camp with prawns, oysters and crayfish. Fresh fish is available at the Praia. The local markets will take your breath away with a variety of items such as lingerie to bob wire.

Walk onto the pristine long stretch of open, endless beaches of Mozambique. Watch turtles, dolphins and whales playing in the blue ocean, while you enjoy safe water activities from a reef running parallel with the beach. Rock, surf and deep-sea fishing for abundant saltwater species and famous Barracuda and Yellow fin Tuna.
