The chalets at Barra Cuda Lodge have spacious lounges and covered patios and are fully equiped for self catering with fridges and freezer, dining room tables and chairs, stoves, and a gas braai for every unit. All cutlery and other pots, pans, plates, glasses and cups are supplied. All chalets are serviced daily.
Casa Cinco – Sleeps 16
4 bedrooms ( all with king size) double bed rooms with en suite bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and patio.
Childrens bunker house next to this one with bunker beds and one bathroom.
Casa Consha – Sleeps 12
4 rooms (2 x double bed and 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds each), two bathrooms, kitchen and patio.
Casa do Sol – Sleeps 10
4 bedrooms (3 with double bed, 1 with 2 x single beds), 2 bathrooms sharing, kitchen, lounge and patio
Casa Fhila – Sleeps 9
2 x (king-size bed) double bed rooms with en suite bathrooms, bedroom with 1 bunker bed and single bed,
kitchen, lounge (two couch beds in lounge) and patio.
Casa do Mar – Sleeps 8
4 bedrooms (3 with double bed, 1 with 2 x bunker beds), 2 bathrooms sharing, kitchen, lounge and patio.
Casa Bonita – Sleeps 6
2 x (king-size bed) double bed rooms - with en suite bathrooms, kitchen, lounge (two couch beds in lounge) and patio.
Casa Fhilo – Sleeps 6
2 x (king-size bed) double bed rooms with en suite bathrooms, kitchen, lounge (two couch beds in lounge) and patio.
Casa Pescador – Sleeps 4
2 x (king-size bed) double bed rooms - with en suite bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and patio.
There is linen, pillows and mosquito nets supplied for all the beds.
Every room has an electrical plug and enough shelving and cupboards to pack away clothing for the holidays.
The bathrooms are equipped with gas geysers. The windows are only covered with shade cloth
because of the high temperatures and the need to have all the wind flow over one where possible.
Each room is also supplied with an electric fan.
Electricty at Barra Cuda Lodge is by EDM and this means that there is normal electricity and if there
is a problem with the power supply from EDM then the generator can be started to still have power.
There is fresh water at the Lodge that is pumped from a well about 200 meters away.
The total construction of the Lodge is Wood, grass and reeds. There are insect repellent lights on site.
